Company profile
Started in 1998 by Jean-Pascal and Mikiko Noirault, JPM The Wine Company is a family-operated firm based in Koriyama City (North of Tokyo) that specializes in bringing genuine, quality, value for money French wines to the Japanese market.

JPM focuses primarily on the importation and the wholesale distribution of French wines produced by leading independently-owned terroir-driven wineries of limited production as well as private labels. We develop rewarding, long-term relationships with our winery and trade partners, and promote passion for wine from unique properties and terroirs through sales, marketing and education. Our portfolio features wines currently being produced by family-owned estates in Bordeaux, Bergerac, Cahors, Jurançon, Minervois, Saint-Chinian, Cabardès, Pic Saint Loup, Lirac, Faugères, Limoux, Pays d’Oc, Châteauneuf du Pape, Côtes Rôties, Cornas, Loire, Chablis, Champagne, Alsace.

While our primary function is to expose nationwide our selections to restaurants, hotels and resorts, we also spend time introducing wines to consumers at dinners, tastings, cooking classes and promotional events. We are also a great resource for planning special on-site events and food and wine pairing.

All shipments are made in wine-only Reefer containers direct from the vineyards to our temperature-controlled warehouses, which ensures that wines arrive in tip-top condition, protected from damaging temperature fluctuations and humidity issues during the transit.

Jean-Pascal Noirault
Jean-Pascal Noirault grew up in Bergerac in the South of France and went to INSEEC graduate business school in Bordeaux for 4 years.

Jean-Pascal Noirault is a WSET Level 4 diploma holder with UK’s Wine and Spirits Education Trust. His 20 years of experience in the wine industry in Japan, through restaurants, hotels and retail distribution has taken him to many locations across Japan. He has traveled extensively through wine regions in France.

Before moving to Japan, he worked in Paris for US Sara Lee’s textile division where he was in charge of developing export markets, notably Asia, Scandinavia and the Middle East with a number of lingerie brands.

Jean-Pascal is excited about sharing his passion for wine, gaining more knowledge about the history and culture of wine and meeting lots of new people with different cultural backgrounds.

Mikiko Noirault
Mikiko Noirault was born and raised in Fukushima prefecture, Northeast Japan. She received a degree in Japanese literature from Tokyo’s University of Sacred Heart. After graduation, she studied French and French Literature at the Sorbonne University in Paris, and followed several courses in culinary arts at Le Cordon Bleu Paris and earned several certifications in French Patisserie and Cuisine.

Mikiko is passionate about cooking. She likes pairing wine with food, and enjoys sharing food and pairing dishes with wines.
